⭐ What a treat! Thanks to Gopuff, our Treat Yourself Moment inchstone winner is Mila from California! 👩‍🍳 “Mila was and is the exact miracle that we had wished so much for. She has two moms, Joy and Chas, and two dogs, Chance and Roo, and has brought so much happiness, love, and fun into our family. Around 1, Mila began showing interest in cooking and always wanted to be in arms as we cooked. As her coordination developed, we incorporated her in different ways that matched what she could do, like washing fruit or moving items from one place to the next. Over time she began to play more and more in her ‘play’ kitchen, ‘Mila’s Restaurant’, where she has regular customers and chef’s choice dishes, which has helped build confidence in the real kitchen. This week, she successfully baked a batch of lemon poppyseed muffins, with little help from Mamas and much inspiration from the Muffin Man! At almost 2 years old, Mila is able to mix batter in bowls, pour with impressive accuracy, ladle batter into cupcake tins, and cut using toddler-knives. We are in awe of Mila’s independence and natural cooking abilities and are incredibly excited to see how her love for cooking grows. Outside of the kitchen, Mila is the epitome of sunshine! She already shows so much empathy, kindness, and courage. If someone sneezes around her, she’s quick to say ‘Bless you!’ or if she sees someone seeming down, she’ll run over with a hug and ask ‘Are you okay?’ Her smile and energy are absolutely contagious and strangers are quick to tell us the same. To say we are proud to be her parents would be an understatement!”
